PS3 Slim

ps3 slim
Its slim, smaller and holds many unexpected surprises. The PS3 slim has a a matte finish which wont let get your fingertips on the console. The PS3 slim has the same shape as that of original PS3 but is noticeably lighter. For slim Sony didn’t think of bringing down the PSU outside the body like Xbox 360. No power brick. Because of the slim size Sony reduced the USB ports to 2 and there is no card reader. Also the slim version is not stable in vertical position unlike your previous fat one. The power and eject touch button have changed to actual push buttons.

When Transformer 2 game was run on the slim and the original version console, the disc drive was louder in the slimmer. The slim got somewhere between 25-33 dB and the fat got 22-30 dB.

Well, talking about the good part: the good part is that it has got matted finish and the bad part is that it has reduced vents.500x_500x_slimstand

As I have said earlier in the post that the slim is unstable in vertical position, a special stand is available for this purpose. Its nor free, but is priced at $24 , 8% of the price of console ($300). Is it worth that ?

Let’s hope Sony take a strong head over the slim bad side.
